LARGE Antique IMPERIAL Parkersburg WV Wood ICE CREAM BARREL Bucket Advertising
Presented for your consideration is this hard to find, large antique ice cream barrel. The barrel is constructed of thick wood with metal bands around the bottom edge and through the middle. At the left and right sides are heavy duty cast iron handles that are marked with the number "25" on them. The handles easily move up and down. The barrel was painted a dark yellow-orange color and large black lettering is on the front and back.
" The signature rising sun is over the word "Imperial. The barrel is finished with small metal hooks around the middle. These were possibly used to hoist the barrels of ice cream in the factory to easily move them. The barrel is guaranteed to be antique and all original.
This rare barrel would make a great addition to any ice cream memorabilia or advertising collection! A great item to re-purpose into a table!
Light oxidation is on the handles and metal bands. There are two chips out of the wood at the top inside edge. Two small splits are near one of the chips.
