Vaillancourt Folk Art Large Santa/ Father Christmas Ice Cream Mould

Here for your consideration is Vaillancourt folk art Christmas red Santa/Father Frost made using an ice cream mold. Unlike other Vaillancourt pieces in that he was molded in not a chocolate mold. He is a large heavy piece standing, 11.5 inches tall, and weighs over 3 pounds. This rosy cheek Santa has many great details, and with the large size of this piece the details are so much better to see. Santa has dozens of apples in the bag he carries to his side, two dolls, a puppy and still more apples on his back.

The design for this Santa was copyrighted is 1986 but this particular Santa was not painted until 2004. He is in excellent condition. I have a letter from Vaillancourt, telling about how this was made in partnership with Gorins stores. This Santa would make a perfect gift or addition for any Santa or Vaillancourt collector.
